[Wednesday January 20, 2011] The Fourth Annual OSC Awards officially opened today. These awards have been held annually since 2007 to honor the best in the Open Source eCommerce (OSC) Industry and encourage the highest industry standards.

The OSC AWARDS are not just a beauty contest or popularity contest. Each category includes a list of serious questions for respondents to answer about the nominee. Is it easy to contact the Web Host? Is your Web Pro available around the clock? Would you recommend them to your friends?

An OSC WEBSITE DESIGN CONTEST is held concurrent with the OSC awards. Anyone can enter an OSC store in the design contest whether you are the store owner, the designer, programmer, or just a shopper who loves the store. WIN PRIZES! This year the Grand Prize winner for Best Design winner will snag an iPad. Designers are also up for plenty of other prizes ranging from free OSC hosting, OSC templates, OSC books and OSC programs.
